Commissioned portrait - charcoal on toned paper. The reference is a poorly lighted old photo with two persons in full body shot in it.... so it is a very tiny and blurry face...scanning and zooming didn't help much. As such, much of the details are just guess work Did the best I can...

Commissioned portrait - charcoal on toned paper. Source is a full body shot from a mobile phone. Not a good reference for a portrait drawing as much of the details are lost in the photo. The best reference will be photos from normal camera, minimum half body shot, with good lighting preferably from a single source (no flash) and scan at 300 dpi.

My second boy. Drawn about the same time I did his brother's drawing with regular 2B. Think this was when he was ten. Got the brain for science, the passion for history and the love of TV's cooking shows (and the appetite to match). So....  he's still working out his ideal future vocation. Regardless, he's the best performer at the school front among his siblings so far.
